Introduction:

Data from the BERNER-GARDE (B-G) database is provided for personal use, only for the purpose of selecting companion dogs or breeding stock. Commercial distribution of the database or the contents herein is prohibited. The database is copyrighted and is owned and administered by the Berner-Garde Foundation, a California 501c(3) tax exempt corporation.

All the data is from the public domain and has been obtained with the explicit or implicit authorization of the dog's owner. Every effort is made to ensure the privacy of the owner and at the same time provide for the orderly and responsible use of the data.

Please note that this site lists only the dogs in the Berner-Garde database: the dog's name, and the number of records relating to it. The purpose of the listing is to provide an index to the amount of information in the database on a selected dog. We regret, if the information on your selected dog is skimpy, and we encourage all owners to submit more complete information.

A number of different complete hard copy reports can be ordered by e-mail, and will be sent, within a day or two, by ordinary mail or fax. (At this time we do not have facilities for returning the reports by e-mail.) Ordinarily, there may be a small fee, but that is waived during this trial period.

For research or special questions requiring complete data base access please contact the database administrator at B-G Database Administrator.

(Although every effort is made to ensure the privacy of the owners, and to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the database, neither The Berner-Garde Foundation, its officers or directors can be held responsible for the accuracy or the interpretation and the use of the data.)

This listing of dogs of includes only those dog names that begin with the specified letter (indicated at the top of the selected page). However, your browser will look any where in the record for the text you ask for. It is often best to enter only a few letters of the dog's name as there may be spelling differences.
