11/01 Food for thought: What are the reasons this request for pledges did not blossom like the recent ones this year for funds to purchase auctioned Berners??
I am making the pledge below to the Berner-Garde Foundation. If every breeder would make this pledge along with me, there would be plenty of money to maintain the database, as well as funds to further research potential problems in our breed. It is a small price to pay for the privilege of sharing our lives with such a noble companion. 2. I pledge to report any known problems that occur in any dogs I own or puppies I bred for open information sharing.
3. I pledge that for each puppy I breed I will pay to the Berner-Garde Foundation $5.00.
4. I pledge that for each time a stud dog I own or co-own successfully sires a litter I will pay to the Berner-Garde Foundation $25.00.
5. I pledge to pay $25.00 every year for each dog 10 years old or older that I own or co-own.
